TECHNICAL DIVING AND REBREATHERS
Technical diving takes divers beyond recreational limits. At SCUBA PLAYA you can find PADI´s Tec 40, Tec 45, Tec 50 and Tec 65 Trimix courses. But if that sounds a bit over what you were initially thinking, and you just want to see what it feels like to dive with technical gear, the Discover Tec is what you are looking for.
Technical courses as well as technical diving for certified tec divers are available at SCUBA PLAYA.
Rebreather diving for certified divers, rebretaher courses and discover rebreather experiences are also available at SCUBA PLAYA.
CAVE DIVING
The Caves of the Riviera Maya are world famous due to their low flow, shallow depth, highly decorated rooms and passages with stalactites and stalagmites of all sizes and forms, crystal clear freshwater with amazing visibility and ease of access.
If you already have an Intro to Cave, Apprentice Cave or Full Cave certification, SCUBA PLAYA offers guided
cave dives, lead by our qualified, competent and safe team of cave guides. With a maximum of 3 divers per guide, penetration in the cave system will depend on the experience and certification level of the divers, and bottom time will be based on the rule of thirds.
- Our guided cave dives include tanks, transportation and water.
- Lunch, entrance fees and rental equipment are not included.
- Price per day for 1 diver: US$180.00
- Price per day for 2 or more divers: US$150.00 per person
CAVERN & CAVE TRAINING
Cavern Diver Course:
This is the first step into the magical world of underwater cave diving, while still staying within the light zone. During your cavern diver course, you will learn skills that will allow you to explore caverns and wrecks around the world, while at the same time it provides you a great oportuity to determine if diving in overhead environements is for you, before deicding to continue on with full cave training.
Intro to Cave:
This is the second step towards becoming a full cave diver. Using a single primary guide line, divers will depart the light zone, allowing deeper penetration into the cave system. This course develops basic cave diving skills.
Full Cave:
This is the third and final step. Considered as the ultimate goal, very few divers in the world ahcive this level. This course will teach you everything you need to know to be a safe cave diver and allow you to explore spectacular sites that would otherwise be unaccesible.
